The battery display may not be correct when the battery pack deteriorates after a long time use. In this case, perform the procedure again.
1. Connect the AC adaptor.
2. Perform "Battery Recalibration".
You can operate your computer while the battery recalibration is in progress.
1. Click
(Start) -
2. Click [OK] on "Perform Battery Recalibration after shutting down Windows." screen.
3. Click [OK] on "Windows will be shut down. OK?" screen.
4. Restart the computer, "Battery Recalibration Utility" is displayed.
5. Press ≪ Enter≫ .
6. When the confirmation message appears, select [Yes] and press ≪ Enter≫ .
After the battery recalibration is finished, normal charging starts.
N O T E
When this computer is driven by USB Power Delivery, the battery recalibration cannot be performed.

The temperature range should be 10 °C to 30 °C {50 °F to 86 °F}.

Frequent recalibration of the battery can degrade the battery. A caution message appears when the battery recalibration is performed
n
at the shorter interval than approximately a month. In this case, cancel the battery recalibration.
The battery recalibration may take a long time due to the large battery capacity. This is not a malfunction. (An expected approximate
n
recalibration time is displayed.)
If the computer is turned off during the battery recalibration (e.g., due to power failure, or accidental removal of the AC adaptor and bat-
n
tery pack), the battery recalibration will not be completed.

Full charge: Approximately 3.0 hours (with Main Battery) / 6.0 hours (with Main Battery + Second Battery)
Complete discharge: Approximately 4.5 hours (with Main Battery) / 9.0 hours (with Main Battery + Second Battery)

Note that the computer consumes electricity even when the computer power is off. If the battery pack is fully charged, the battery will fully discharge in the
following period of time:
In modern standby (sleep)
When entering into hibernation automatically after 16 hours (factory
default)
In modern standby (sleep)
When not entering into hibernation
In hibernation
When power is off
The battery duration while the USB port continuous charging function is not used.
The above value is the holding time at room temperature.
