Pre-boot authentication (PBA)
Perform fingerprint authentication before the computer starts up. Set the Supervisor Password for the Setup Utility beforehand.

Use fingerprint authentication to unlock your computer and sign in to Windows.
Fingerprint Authentication Initial Configuration
Preparations for Using Fingerprint Authentication
Use the following procedure for fingerprint authentication function with this device.
Set up a Windows user account and password.
Sign in with a user account that uses this device to register fingerprints.
Perform Pre-boot authentication (PBA) as necessary.
Fingerprint Reader Location
Step 1. Set up a user account and password.
If a user account for fingerprint authentication and a Windows sign in password have already been set, skip to Step 2.
If a user account for fingerprint authentication has not yet been set, set up a new user account and password.
N O T E
There are two types of user account.

Administrator
Standard user
Some operations and settings are partially prohibited by standard user (restricted user) accounts.
Step 2. Register a Fingerprint (Windows Hello settings)
Step 2-1. Start registering fingerprints
1. Click (Start) -
2. Click [Set up] under "Fingerprint" in "Windows Hello".
3. When the "Windows Hello setup" screen is displayed, click [Get started].
(Settings) - [Accounts] - [Sign-in options].
