Test the External Connection to the LAN

To test the external IP connections, ping the C-LAN and ping a known computer connected to
the network. If everything is configured correctly, the Result column on the Ping Results
screen reads pass. If it reads abort, verify the IP-address information and check the
connectivity, including the cabling.

Set Slot field to UUCSS, where UUCSS is the cabinet, carrier, and slot.

• In the Gateway Address field use the address you are given or leave blank.
Set the Net Region field to 1 unless you are given a different number.
