B. The top tether is not required to be used to fit the child
restraint in an aircraft. Shorten the top tether strap and
store in its storage pocket. Attach the tether clip to the
elastic loop provided on the restraint as shown.
IMPORTANT:
When the tether hook is stored on the loop always
remember to attach the upper tether strap when
reinstalling in the car.
C. Fully lengthen seatbelt. Thread the seatbelt

seatbelt path marker (green marker) as
shown, ensuring that the seatbelt is behind
the harness straps and below the hook as
shown, on each side. Engage seatbelt buckle
and tongue.
An extension seatbelt may be used to
reposition the buckle to the side of the child
restraint. Request from crew onboard the
aircraft.
D. Push down on the restraint and remove all
slack from the seatbelt.
E. Place child in the seat, fit the harness, engage
buckle and remove the slack in the harness.
