b. Move ratchet wheel spring out of shaft groove and
slide ratchet wheel off its shaft.
5. Pump and actuator plate assembly (fig. 25).
a. Remove solenoid assembly - ratchet dog, ratchet
pawl and ratchet wheel as outlined in their respec
tive procedures.
b. To separate the pump and pump actuator plate
from the frame, pull the pump housing in the
direction of the arrow until the grooves in the
housing clear the frame. Then remove the actuator
plate from the ratchet wheel and cam follower

6. Valve assembly (fig. 26).
a. Remove the four (4) screws that attach the valve
assembly to the pump housing.
During re-assembly be sure gasket
CAUTION:
between housing and valve plate is properly
positioned in the housing and valve plate grooves.

7. To assemble washer unit, reverse above procedures.
