Connecting the dishwasher to
the electricity
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Improper handling of the network connec-
tion may result in an electric shock or short
circuit.
Never connect dishwashers to mul-
ti-socket adapters, multi-socket strips,
travel adapters or the like.
We recommend using a pulse-sensitive
residual current device (RCD).
• Insert the mains plug in the properly in-
stalled socket (220–240 V~ / 50 Hz, 10 A).

Degree of water hardness

Hard water will cause calcification within the
dishwasher. Also, more dishwasher deter-
gent will be required to clean the dishes. Soft
water increases foaming. For this reason, the
degree of hardness of the water has to be
determined and adjusted even before the first
use.
Determining the degree of hardness
– Take the degree of hardness from the wa-
ter bill or
– ask your local water company for the de-
gree of hardness or
– determine the degree of hardness using
the enclosed test strip (see table for result):

1. Close the dishwasher door.
2. Switch on the dishwasher with button (1)
3. Within a minute after switching on, press

If the washing result is not satisfactory, set the
next rinse cycle to a higher or lower degree
of hardness.
