®
• Processor: Intel

8.1.2 Installing the E-Memory software

Make sure that the specifications of the computer and operating system are compatible with the
requirements of the E-memory Software (see "MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS").
Make sure no other applications are running during the installation procedure.
N.B.: in the example, the letter "D:\" is used to indicate the letter assigned to the CD-ROM drive: this may
differ from system to system.
Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive; the E-Memory Software Installer programme will start
automatically.
If this does not happen, proceed as follows:
a) click on "Start" and select "Run"
b) type [D:\setup\setup.exe] (where D: is the CD-ROM drive) and click on Next to run the installation
programme.
Click on Next to continue installation.
Note: the default installation folder is [C:\Programmes\memory]. Click on "Browse" to change folder.
CAUTION: at the beginning of the installation procedure the programme looks for all the components
required for installation: if one or more components are not found, the installation programme will install it
and will then ask the user to reboot the system.
After rebooting the PC, perform the above operation.
The programme will search for Microsoft Access 2000 Runtime or Microsoft Office 2000 or later releases.
If it fails to find one of these two components, the Access 2000 Run time installation screen will appear:
installation will take a few minutes after which the computer will have to be rebooted.
After rebooting, run the setup.exe file once again.
N.B. if, after failing to find Access 2000 Runtime or Microsoft Office 2000, the system does not run the
Runtime installation programme automatically, consult the "TROUBLESHOOTING" paragraph.
If E-Memory Software is installed to Windows 98SE, they memory drivers will be installed first.
Afterwards, run the setup.exe file again.
