Attaching and Removing the Battery

• Be sure to turn off the power with the FOMA terminal closed when attaching and removing the
battery.
• Be careful not to touch the camera.

The FOMA terminal main display and Inspiration window use an active LCD. Depending on the
characteristics of the active LCD, afterimages or crossbar may remain for several seconds
when the battery is being attached or removed. Do not be concerned; this is not a fault.
Battery recycling
The phone uses a lithium ion battery containing valuable materials that should be recycled. To protect the
environment, return used batteries to an NTT DoCoMo service center, NTT DoCoMo agent or recycling
center.
Please take the following precautions when recycling batteries:
Attach a piece of adhesive tape on the used battery terminals.
Do not disassemble or modify batteries.

Remove the rear cover.

While pressing the indentation on the top of the rear
cover with your thumb, slide it in the direction of the arrow
until it is removed.
Insert the battery connector into the phone at

the angle shown in the illustration.
Do not force the battery connector into the phone.
Doing so could damage the body connector or the
battery connector terminals.
Insert the battery.

Place the rear cover on the phone leaving it

about 5 mm away from its closed position.
Slide the rear cover into place.

Failure to follow the correct procedure could damage
the rear cover.
Remove the rear cover.

Remove the battery.

Grasping the projections on the battery, remove the
battery from the phone.
