Turning the Power On/Off

Turning the power on

Open the FOMA terminal, press and hold down
The Standby screen appears after an animation is shown (Wake-up Display).
• If the key is not held down long enough, the power does not turn on.
• PIN1 code entry screen may appear depending on the setting (see p.164).
• The Wake-up Display or the Standby screen can be changed (see p.152, 144). The background
of the Standby screen shown below is only an example. (It is different from the default setting.)

• If you are using an internet service provider other than DoCoMo, the service provider selection
screen appears. Select the service provider and press
• Some functions cannot be used immediately after the powar is turned on because the FOMA
Card data is being read. If you are going to perform those functions at this time, the message
indicating that they are not available is displayed. Wait for a while and try again.

All indicators on the screen disappear after an animation is shown.
• If the key is not held down long enough, the power does not turn off.
When High temperature alarm display appears
High temperature alarm display may appear when the FOMA terminal become warm such as
when you talk in the location of high temperature. Wait till the terminal temperature goes down.
When you are talking, the call is disconnected after 20 seconds.
When in standby, you cannot perform the FOMA terminal operation such as making a
call or selecting Menu. When there is an incoming call, the call reception screen does not
appear and you cannot answer the call.
When the FOMA terminal temperature goes down, you can use the terminal as usual.
