BODY GUIDE
1. Body guide wear points should be inspected each
time a body pad inspection is performed. (Refer
to Figure 3-5) The body guide should be centered
between the wear plates (3), with a maximum gap
of 0.19 in. (4.8 mm) at each side when new.
2. If gap becomes excessive, replacement parts
should be installed. (Refer to the Parts Catalog)

HOIST LIMIT SWITCH
Refer to Section "D", Electrical System (24VDC) for
adjustment procedure of the hoist limit switch.
BODY UP SWITCH
Refer to Section "D", Electrical System (24VDC) for
adjustment procedure of the body up switch.

BODY-UP RETENTION CABLE
Any time personnel are required to perform main-
tenance on the vehicle with the dump body in the
raised position, the body-up retention cable MUST
be installed.
1. To hold the dump body in the up position, raise the
body to it's maximum height. Refer to Figure 3-6.

2. Remove the cable (3) from its stored position on
the body and install between the Rear Body Ear
(1) and the Axle Housing Ear (4).
3. Secure the cable clevis pins with cotter pins.
4. After maintenance work is completed, reverse the
above procedure to remove cable assembly and
place it in the storage position.
