w i t h d r a w a l plate is moved f o r w a r d b y t h e action o f t h e clutch pedal and
presses upon a fabric faced r i n g i n t h e centre of t h e cover-plate

t h e small set screw
" A " f o r w a r d sufficiently t o disengage t h e clutch.
The
set screws are fitted i n t o w h a t are k n o w n as " t o g g l e arms."
which can be
adjusted b y a spanner and screwdriver t h r o u g h t h e clutch inspection cover.

The clutch pedal is coupled t o a shaft having a
central p o r t i o n i n t h e shape o f a " U," t h i s registers i n t h e withdrawal plate. The right-
hand end o f t h e illustration shows t h e first m o t i o n shaft o f t h e gearbox, t h e f o r w a r d
extension o f which passes t h r o u g h t h e clutch and engages w i t h t h e steel floating plate
by means o f splines.
T h e w h o l e clutch mechanism is lubricated f r o m a p o i n t behind t h e
clutch w i t h d r a w a l collar and through t h e inspection cover.
Use small grease gun w i t h
non-separating grease.
