O n e small pipe in f r o n t o f t h e engine should be noted.
This is t h e o i l delivery
pipe f r o m t h e p u m p t o t h e overhead valve gear. This particular u n i t w i l l be dealt
w i t h separately.

chassis and t h e manner i n which the exhaust manifold and water o u t l e t pipe are
bolted t o t h e cylinder block.
I t w i l l be seen t h a t t h e exhaust manifold is formed
i n t o t w o branches which unite at a p o i n t underneath t h e undershield which is i n
f r o n t o f t h e silencer, as can be seen by referring t o Illustration N o . I.

ised position o f t h e oiling nipples w i l l be seen o n t h e dashboard bracket
f r o m w h i c h pipes convey lubricant, as shown o n t h e oiling diagram.
The electrical wires are enclosed and t h e cut-out and fusebox covers
have been removed t o disclose these fittings o n t h e dashboard.
The Tecalemit o i l f i l t e r can be seen and t h e tap has been replaced
by a plug o n later models.
The self-starter is situated o n this side o f t h e engine, being attached t o t h e
flywheel housing, t h e action o f t h e self-starter being controlled b y a solenoid.
A
number o f details o f t h e electrical equipment can be seen, including position o f
t h e cut-out and fuses, t h e wires f r o m which are carried i n a covered casing.
