Using a piston, push the ring into the cylinder
squarely and measure the end gap.

Measure the piston O.D.
0.5 mm (0.02 in)
0.5 mm (0.02 in)
0.9 mm (0.04 in)

bottom, and

SERVICE LIMIT: 79.35 mm (3.124 in)
Inspect the cylinder bores for wear or damage.
Measure the cylinder

at three levels in

axis.
SERVICE LIMIT: 79.60 mm (3.134 in)
Calculate the piston·to·cylinder clearance.
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.10 mm (0.004 in)
Oversize pistons are available in the following sizes:
0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.00 mm.
