Turn the
engine
over and remove
the
lower
crank·
case bolts.
NOTE:
Remove the bolts
in
two or more steps and
in a
crisscross
pattern to prevent damage to
the
crankcase.
Separate the crankcase.
Remove the following parts
:
•
Piston and
connecting
rods (Section 1 2).
•
Crankshaft (Section
12).
•
Shift fork and shift drum (Section 13).
•
Transmission (Section 13)
.
Drive the countershaft !Jearing out of the
case.
CRANKCASE ASSEMBLY
Drive the countershaft bearing into the
crankcase.
