This means that you can use the headlight flasher to
imitate the control flashing associated with the cen-
tral locking mechanism at a later point. This gives
you the option of controlling the door independently
of the central locking mechanism without the need
to use a second headlight flasher sensor.
For this purpose, the tolerance of the
sequence detection function (see Section
8) usually has to be increased, which increases the
risk of unintentional triggering during driving. If you
are sure that the sequence for opening the door is
sufficiently different from standard processes used
during driving, you can use the headlight flasher
sensor in this way.
• Place the wire loop you have created around the
current sensor of the device (see the figures on
the next page, "Single twist/Multiple twists").
• Here, the cable tie should be located in the
headlight flasher sensor housing for strain relief
purposes. Cut it to the correct length using diag-
onal pliers.
• The following are guide values for the sensor
sensitivity and for the number of twists required:
