sensor simply needs to be placed in the vicinity of the
relevant wire. For this reason, you should choose an
installation location where you can access this wire.
In the case of brake lights, indicator lights, rear fog
lamps or reversing lights, the headlight flasher sensor
can be installed in the vicinity of the rear lights. In the
case of the headlight flasher, a location near the front
headlights is appropriate.
When placing the headlight flasher sensor in the
engine area, you must make sure that it is protected
against moisture by either wrapping it up so that
it is watertight or positioning it in a location that is
guaranteed to be dry.
The headlight flasher sensor should not be installed
in the vicinity of the fuse box. High currents in wires
that are routed in the immediate vicinity of the
headlight flasher sensor may be mistakenly detected
by the sensor. Additionally, the large number of wires
in the area of the fuse box may restrict the wireless
range. Generally speaking, the headlight flasher
sensor should be positioned so that the antenna is
not in direct contact with metal parts or shielded too
closely by metal parts.
