Capacity control of the pump can be accomplished via on/off
regulation or speed control of the pump.
• On/off
The controller can control one pump.
Cut-in and cut-out are performed following a signal from the S7
temperature sensor and the set reference.
• Speed control
The analog output voltage is connected to a speed regulation.
The pump will now be regulated from 0 to max. capacity. If an
ON/OFF signal is required it can be obtained from a relay output.
Start
Min.
The controller starts the frequency converter when the capacity
requirement corresponds to the set starting speed. The
controller stops the frequency converter when the capacity
requirement becomes lower than the set minimum speed.
PI-regulation / P-regulation
Regulation is performed by a PI controller which may however be
changed into a P controller if the design of the plant necessitates
this.
• PI-regulation
The controller cuts in capacity in such a way that the deviation
between the actual temperature and the reference value
becomes as small as possible.
• P-regulation
The controller cuts in capacity that depends on the deviation
between the actual temperature and the reference value.
The proportional band Xp indicates the deviation at 100%
condenser capacity.
Regulating sensor
S7 is used as a regulating sensor.
The set point for the S7 temperature is set in °C.

Limitation of the reference
To safeguard yourself against a too high or too low regulation
reference, a limitation of the reference must be set.

Forced operation of the pump
Forced operation of the capacity can be arranged where the nor-
mal regulation is ignored.
The safety functions are cancelled during forced operation.
Forced operation via setting
The regulation is set to Manual.
The capacity is set in percent of the regulated capacity.
Forced operation of relays
If the forced operation is carried out with the switches at the front
of an extension module, the safety function will register any ex-
ceeding of values and transmit alarms, if required, but the control-
ler cannot cut the relays in or out in this situation.
Timer
The operating time of the pump is registered continuously. You
can read out:
- operating time for the previous 24-hour period
- total operating time since the timer was last set to zero-set.
Coupling counter
The number of cutins and cutouts is registered continuously. The
number of starts can be read out here:
- Number during the previous 24-hour period
- Total number since the counter was last set to zero-set.
