4000 Series GSM Audio Intercom - Technical Manual
A valid text message has been received and
processed.
Button pressed but no number stored.
Invalid text message received.
Button pressed, GSM PRO dialling stored
number.
Manually ending/cancelling a call by pressing
another call button.
Not registered with a network provider but still
trying.
Unknown registering problem.
Unable to see the SIM card.
Call button pressed and either the call is on divert
to the master number or it is outside the time set in
the timeband (TBA) and there is no master number
stored.
REASON
Programmed fob/card presented to the
onboard/expansion reader.
Fob/card presented to the onboard reader is not
programmed.
Fob/card presented to the onboard/expansion
reader is programmed in the GSM module
however:
1. The number of bytes to check for maybe
incorrect;
2. The fob/card may have an access level or
timeband assigned to it;
3. The unit ID of the reader may be incorrect.
None, this is normal.
Program a telephone number for the button
pressed.
If this has happened when sending one of the
programming text messages then check the
message for errors. These beeps will also be heard
if the 4 digit code in the text message is incorrect.
If you are unsure of the 4 digit code, try resetting
it to 1111.
None, this is normal.
None, this confirms the call has been cancelled.
Another call can be placed if required.
Leave it a short while to see if it manages to find
the network. If the beeps repeat every 30 seconds
then try moving the antenna to a better location
or changing the SIM to another network provider.
Try moving the antenna to a better location.
Try changing the SIM card to another network
provider.
Check the SIM card is fitted correctly. Try removing
the SIM card, cleaning and fitting again. Try a
different SIM card.
This may be the required setup but if it's not then
either change the timeband times, store a master
number to divert the calls to or open the switch
between AO1 & g used to switch the calls into
divert mode.
SOLUTION
None, this is normal.
The fob/card requires programming into the GSM
PRO module (ensuring the onboard reader is
enabled).
Although the fob/card is programmed in the GSM
PRO module check one of the following:
1. Change the number of bytes to check for
to 2 bytes (ensuring the onboard reader is
enabled).
2. Confirm if fob/card has any access levels/
timebands assigned as it may be that the fob/
card is supposed to have restricted access.
3. Check to see if expansion readers have correct
unit ID's set (the unit ID for the onboard reader
will always be set to ID.1).
