Error description
Field disturbance on reader
Possible causes:
The reader is receiving interference pulses from the environment.
•
– External interference field. The interference field can be detected with the "inductive field
indicator" of the STG.
– The distance between two readers is too small and does not correspond to the configura-
tion guidelines.
– The connecting cable to the reader is defective or too long or does not comply with the
specification.
– MOBY U: Transponder has left the antenna field during communication.
– MOBY U: Communication between reader and transponder was aborted due to a disrup-
tion (e.g. person/foreign body moving between reader and transponder).
Too many transmit errors
•
The transponder was unable to receive the command or the write data from the communica-
tions module correctly even after several attempts.
– The transponder is positioned exactly in the limit area of the transmission window.
– Data transmission to the transponder is being affected by external interference.
CRC sending error
•
– The transponder reports CRC errors frequently (transponder is positioned in the limit area
of the reader; transponder and/or reader has a hardware defect).
Only during initialization: CRC error on receipt of acknowledgment from transponder (cause
•
as for field interference on the reader).
When formatting, the transponder must be in the transmission window of the reader, other-
•
wise a timeout error will occur, in other words:
– The transponder is located exactly in the limit range of the transmission window.
– The transponder is defective and consumes too much power.
– The EEPROM transponder was incorrectly configured by "FORMAT".
RF600:
•
– No ETSI channel is available.
– An incorrect communication standard was selected in the "INIT" command.
– The expert parameter is incorrect.
– The performance check of the ETSI radio profile is faulty.
More transponders are located in the transmission window than can be processed at the same
time by the reader.
There is no transponder with the required EPC ID/UID in the transmission window or there is no
transponder at all in the antenna field.
The requested data is not available.
CRC error in reader-transponder communication.
The selected antenna is not enabled.
The selected frequency is not enabled.
The carrier signal is not activated.
There is more than one transponder in the transmission window.
