11. The Power Control Unit (PCU)
The Power Control Unit (PCU) is an intelligent, powerful module with
different signal forms (digital, analogue, IEC 60870-5-101) can be recorded,
converted and transmitted to the WEB`log for active and reactive power
requirements.
Function:
•
The PCU receives the requirements via inputs from the ripple control
receiver or main computer.
•
The PCU prepares the requirements and sends them to the WEB`log.
•
The WEB`log establishes the control values and sends them to the
inverters.
The PCU can only be operated in connection with WEB`log Pro. No PCU is
required to implement a reduction in active power without reactive power
procedure and without feedback to the energy supplier. This procedure,
P(DI) internal, can be achieved with the WEB`log via the WEB`log digital
inputs.
