Correcting errors on the PROFIBUS PA

Check the diagnostic information of the CFU in HW Config > Module information (online) > IO
device diagnostics.

Possible cause
Incorrect device address set (device address 2 or 3
set)
Field device is set to hardware addressing
Field device does not supply valid ID numbers. The
field device data (I/Os) cannot be recognized.
Field device does not support the set profile.
Difference between the configuration in HW Config
and the configuration in the PDM commissioning wiz‐
ard
The "Compare TAGs" function is enabled. A differ‐
ence has been detected between the name of the real
field device and the name configured in the HW Config.
Errors in the field device
Remedy
Set device address locally via PROFI‐
BUS PA
Change the device address to software
addressing, or to the correct fieldbus ad‐
dress, and restart the fieldbus connec‐
tion via the expert function.
● Read the field device data again
using the expert function.
● Use manual field device integration.
Start the commissioning wizard again
(step 5 - change configuration)
Adjust the suggested profiles in the
"Change I / O to ..." column.
● HW Config - run the function "Read
back I/O"
Apply changes
● Customizing the configuration
Start the commissioning wizard again
