COMMUNICATION
Symptom:

*NO RESPONSE FROM CONTROLLER ANTILOCK BRAKE

NO RESPONSE FROM CAB
REPLACE FUSE #17
FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
OPEN FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT
CONTROLLER ANTILOCK BRAKE (CAB) MODULE
PCI BUS CIRCUIT OPEN
BODY CONTROL MODULE
TEST
1
Turn the ignition on.
Note: As soon as one or more module communicates with the DRB, answer
the question.
With the DRB, attempt to communicate with the Airbag Control Module.
With the DRB, attempt to communicate with the Body Control Module (BCM).
Was the DRB able to I/D or establish communications with either of the modules?
Yes → Go To 2
→ Refer to the Communications category and perform the symptom
No

Turn the ignition off.
Remove and inspect fuse #17 in the junction block.
Is the fuse open?
Yes → Go To 3
→ Go To 4
No

Turn the ignition off.
Replace Fuse #17 in the junction block.
Turn the ignition on.
Remove and inspect fuse #17 in the junction block.
Is the fuse open?
Yes → Repair the Fused Ignition Switch Output circuit for a short to
→ Check the Fused Ignition Switch Output circuit for an intermit-
No
POSSIBLE CAUSES
ACTION
PCI Bus Communication Failure.
Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
