Symptom:
*MODE DOOR INOPERATIVE
ATC HEAD MODE DOOR BUTTONS OPEN
MODE DOOR INOPERABLE PRE TEST
MODE DOOR ACTUATOR CHECK
COMMON DOOR DRIVER CIRCUIT OPEN
MODE DOOR DRIVER CIRCUIT OPEN
BODY CONTROL MODULE
TEST
1 NOTE: Disregard this test step if this vehicle is NOT equipped with
Automatic Temp Control.
With the DRBIII , enter Automatic Temperature Control then Inputs/Outputs.
Press and hold each switch (except Temp) and observe the switch state on the DRB.
Do the switch states change from Open to Closed when each switch is pressed.
Yes → Go To 2
→ Replace the Automatic Temperature Control Head.

2 Note: It is very easy for this system to set trouble codes (any connector
disconnected, any small bind in a door, etc.). Because of this, it is advisable
to perform a System Test before proceeding to prevent a wrong repair.
