Description/cause
Motor protection: Fault within converter
The torque in direction OPEN, measured at the
output drive shaft using the torque measurement
flange, is too high.
The torque in direction CLOSE, measured at the
output drive shaft using the torque measurement
flange, is too high.
Description/cause
Collective signal 13:
Possible causes:
Several operation commands (e.g. OPEN and
CLOSE simultaneously, or OPEN and SET-
POINT operation simultaneously)
A setpoint is present and the positioner is not
active
Selector switch is not in position REMOTE.
Operation via service interface (Bluetooth) and
AUMA CDT service software.
Actuator is in operation mode Disabled.
The EMERGENCY stop switch has been operated.
The motor control power supply (contactors or
thyristors) is disconnected.
Operation mode EMERGENCY is active (EMER-
GENCY signal was sent).
0 V are applied at the EMERGENCY input.
The actuator is controlled via the I/O interface (par-
allel).
Manual operation is activated.
An interlock is active.
By-pass function is interlocked.
Partial Valve Stroke Test (PVST) is active.
Description/cause
No setpoint source configured although an operation
to a setpoint position is to be performed.
Case 1: Adaptive behaviour is "OFF" The inner dead
band is larger than the outer dead band (the outer
dead band is adapted to the inner dead band) Case
2: Adpative behavior is "Adaptive II". The value for
"PosDeadBandMax" is lower than "PosDeadBand-
Min" (the adaptation is then switched off with the
larger of the two values)
The set tripping torque for direction CLOSE is out-
side the permissible setting range.
The set tripping torque for direction OPEN is outside
the permissible setting range.
Signal assignment for the indicated digital input (DIN
1 – DIN 10) is incorrect.
Configuration of EMERGENCY behaviour is incor-
rect
Configuration of operation profile is incorrect.
Corrective action
Remedy
Check DMF trip torque OP parameter.
Check DMF fault level parameter.
Check DMF trip torque CL parameter.
Check DMF fault level parameter.
Remedy
Check operation commands (reset/clear all op-
eration commands and send one operation
command only).
Set parameter Positioner to Function active.
Check setpoint.
Press push button
Details to display a list of indi-
vidual indications.
For details, refer to <Individual indications> table.
Set selector switch to position REMOTE.
Exit service software.
Check setting and status of function <Local controls
enable>.
Enable EMERGENCY stop switch.
Reset EMERGENCY stop state by means of
Reset command.
Detect cause for EMERGENCY signal.
Verify failure source.
Apply +24 V DC at EMERGENCY input.
Check I/O interface.
Start motor operation.
Check interlock signal.
Check states of main and by-pass valve.
Wait until PVST function is complete.
Remedy
Configure analogue inputs AIN 1 or AIN 2, refer to
<Input for setpoint position>
Check positioner setting.
Verify torque switching setting.
Verify torque switching setting.
Reconfigure digital input.
Check configuration.
Check configuration.
