INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION - FRONT - 3.5L

(1) Install the ignition coil (Fig. 5).
(2) Hand tighten coil screws.
(3) Refer to the torque chart for torque specifica-
tion.
(4) Install and lock the electrical connector to the
ignition coil (Fig. 4).

(5) Install the upper intake manifold, (Refer to 9 -
ENGINE/MANIFOLDS/INTAKE
INSTALLATION)
(6) Connect the negative battery cable.

INSTALLATION - REAR - 3.5L

(1) Install the ignition coil (Fig. 5).
(2) Hand tighten coil screws.
(3) Refer to the torque chart for torque specifica-
tion.
(4) Install and lock the electrical connector to the
ignition coil (Fig. 4).
(5) Connect the negative battery cable.
IGNITION COIL CAPACITOR
DESCRIPTION
The coil capacitor is used for radio noise suppres-
sion
REMOVAL
(1) Disconnect the negative battery cable.
(2) Remove the electrical connector from capacitor.
(3) Remove the bolt from capacitor (Fig. 8).
(4) Remove capacitor.
