The E-42B searches the network for AppleTalk zones in your network segment. Choose the
AppleTalk zone in which you want the E-42B to appear. If your segment has only one zone,
the E-42B is assigned to that zone automatically.
The message "No AppleTalk zone found" may mean your network has no zones, or the
network cable is not connected.

Services Setup

With the following options, you can enable services such as LPD and FTP.

Network Setup

Web Services
Enable Web Services
Choose whether to make the WebTools available to users. TCP/IP must be enabled on the
E-42B and on client computers. A Java-enabled Web browser and valid IP address or DNS
host name are required for each client computer.
Remote Desktop
Enable Remote Desktop
Choose whether to enable Microsoft Remote Desktop, which allows remote computers to
manage and control the Windows desktop features of the E-42B. For information about
enabling Remote Desktop, see
page
54.
SLP
Enable Multicast Discovery
Choose whether to enable SLP (Service Location Protocol). This protocol allows the E-42B to
find services over the network.
Bonjour
Bonjour is an Apple Computer Inc. technology that allows for zero configuration while you
set up, install, add, or remove the E-42B from the network. This allows Mac OS computers to
detect and connect to the Bonjour-enabled E-42B for printing.
Enable Bonjour
Choose whether to enable Bonjour.
