System 75 XE uses the Processor Interface (TN765) as the required control circuit
pack.
The installation for the installing the DCS link using PDMs is covered under the section for
installing PDMs (see Figures 2-118, 2-119, and 2-120). The following switch settings for the
PDM are recommended:
The baud rate between switches may vary depending on the installation.
Refer to the installation for installing DS1 Tie Trunks if the DCS link is to be installed
using DS1 Tie Trunks.
Property Management System Interface—V3 Only
Requirements
The interface between the system and the customers property management system is
through processor data modules. The installation for the property management interface
from the system switch is covered under the section for installing PDMs (see Figures 2-118,
2-119, and 2-120).
Refer to the appropriate vendor's documentation for connecting the PDM to the property
management system. The option switches on the PDM should be set in accordance with the
requirements for the customers property management system.
A journal printer can be used in conjunction with the property management system. A
serial printer must be used. The connections for the printer are the same as for the
property management interface. Refer to the appropriate vendor's documentation for
connecting the PDMs to the printer. The option switches on the PDM should be set
according to the requirements for the printer.
The property management system interface and the journal printers can also be installed
using Asynchronous Data Unit (ADUs). The connections are the same as for a customer-
provided data terminal (see Figure 2-122).

Installing Customer-Provided Terminal Using Asynchronous Data Units (ADUs)

The interface between the system and the customer's data terminals and host computer for
R1V1, R1V2, and R1V3 systems is through PDMs. Refer to installing PDMs for details (see
Figures 2-118, 2-119, and 2-120).
For R1V2 or R1V3 systems only, the customer's asynchronous data terminals can be
connected through a Z3A Asynchronous Data Unit (ADU) to a TN726 Data Line circuit pack
(see Figure 2-122). Normally, the ADU is powered from the connected data terminal. The
ADU can also be remotely or locally powered using a 2012D transformer equipped with a
248B adapter. ADUs connected to receive-only printers always require external power. The
need for external power must be determined experimentally for ADUs connected to other
devices. For details on ADU installation, refer to the Z3A Asynchronous Data Unit User's
Manual, (555-401-701).
