Installation
1.
Determine port assignment of feature from Hospitality-Related System
Parameters Form:

Connect the analog line port to the announcement unit with 2-pair line cord
(modular plug on one end) from information outlet (see Figure 2-113).
3.
Install patch cord at cross-connect field.
Identify carrier slot for the auxiliary trunk circuit pack and label both ends of a

switch cable.
5.
Connect cable to appropriate port carrier slot and dress down sides of cabinet.
6.
Run and connect cable from bottom of the switch cabinet through cable slack
manager, if provided, to unused CABINET CABLES connector on cable access
panel.
7.
Run and connect A25D cable from DISTRIBUTION CABLES connector to location
of announcement unit.
Connect A25D cable to J1 connector on the rear of the announcement unit.
8.
Remove all factory installed jumpers between the 110 terminal block rows

associated with the CABINET CABLES connector and the DISTRIBUTION
CABLES connector.
10.
Install jumpers between the 110 terminal block rows as shown in Figure 2-114.
11.
Connect -48v dc power unit to the announcement unit (see Figure 2-115). The
power unit must be supplied locally and be rated at -48v dc at 1.2 amps.
