110-TYPE HARDWARE
Installing Station Message Detail Recording Interface
The interface between the system and Station Message Detail Recording Equipment (SMDR)
is through a processor data module (PDM), trunk data module, or 212-type modem. Refer to
the section on installing PDMs for connections from the switch to the PDM or trunk data
module. (Figures 3-134 and 3-135). Administer using the AT&T System 75 and System 75
XE Implementation and AT&T System 75 and System 75 XE Administration.
The connection from the switch to the 212-type modem is the same as for External Ringing
(Figure 3-113). When a 212-type modem is used, a TN758 Pooled Modem must be provided.
One of the Pooled Modem's conversion resources is dedicated to the SMDR output device.
Administer using the AT&T System 75 and System 75 XE Implementation and AT&T System
75 and System 75 XE Administration.
For R1V2 or R1V3 systems only, a TN726 Data Line circuit pack may be used and PDMs,
TDMs, or 212-type modems are not required for data terminal equipment. The connection
from the switch to the SMDR Output Receiving Device is the same as a customer-provided
data terminal (see Figure 3-137).
Interface Cabling to SMDR Output Device
Figure 3-138 shows the cabling required to connect the TELESEER* unit, printer, or
customer-provided data terminal equipment (DTE). The M25B cable connects to the P1
connector on the TELESEER unit.
