Replacing the Power Supply (Top) Fan — Quantum Ultra 610
The largest (top) fan cools the power supplies. If this power supply fan fails, you can order
a new one from
hot-swappable, that is, it can be replaced while the Quantum Ultra is operating, without
the need to power down the unit.
ATTENTION:
1.
Quantum Ultra Videowall Processing System • Maintenance — Quantum Ultra 610 Only
Remove the front and rear panels from the replacement power supply by
unfastening the three screws on the front and back panels. (These panels and screws
are no longer needed.)
Attach the front plate that was removed from the failed redundant power supply in
step 2 to the three holes on the back panel of the replacement power supply. Use the
three round-headed screws that also were removed in step 2.
Attach the metal strip from the failed power supply to the three holes on the front of
the replacement power supply, using the three flat-headed screws removed in step 3.

steps 6 through 10

When a fan fails, replace it immediately. Do not run the unit for a long period
without a fan.

Use a screwdriver to loosen the two thumbscrews on the cover panel and remove the
panel (see figure 74).
Loosen the thumbscrews.
