AUTOMATIC RECEPTION

This reception method enables you to leave the fax unattended and receive any documents sent.

The facsimile machine is in standby. The display shows the message "AUTOMATIC RX".
1. When a call arrives, the facsimile machine prepares to receive a document. The display
shows the information associated with the document (current page, transmission speed,
whether ECM is enabled or not) and the sender's facsimile number (or name, if stored on the
sender's machine).

2. At the end of the operation, the facsimile machine beeps and returns to standby.

MANUAL RECEPTION

This reception method requires the machine to be attended. When the telephone rings, lift the
handset and check whether the call is a voice or telephone call. If the handset emits modulated
tones, this means that someone wants to send a document. In this case, proceed as follows:

The facsimile machine is in standby. The display shows the message "MANUAL RX".
1. When you hear the fax tones, press START. The facsimile machine prepares to receive the
document. The display shows the information associated with the document (current page,
transmission speed, whether the ECM function is enabled or not) and the sender's fax number
(or name, if stored on the sender's machine).

2. Place the handset back on the hook. At the end of the operation, the facsimile machine beeps
and returns to standby.
