19. Connect the hydraulic quick-connects on the oiler assemblies to the top-cover hydraulic connec-
tions.
20. Connect the cable connectors to their respective measuring-head connectors. See Connecting
Cables for information about this process.
21. Clamp the drain hose to the drain spout and direct the hose to the lube tank return spout. Check the
drain hose for kinks or blockages.
Dispose of the waste in a manner that adheres to state and federal environmental regulations.
22. Connect oiler lines from the lube tank kit to the oiler-assembly connection on the top cover and to
the packer pressure line on the measuring head. (See Lube Tank Kit and The TubeSpec Measuring
Head for additional information.)
23. Tie off all cables and hydraulic hoses to prevent them from catching in the reel during operation.
24. Supply air pressure to the lube tank (see Lube Tank Features for additional information).
When starting to move the coiled tubing at the beginning of a job, let it run for several feet without any
packer pressure; then gradually increase the packer pressure up to the recommended level for the given
coiled tubing size. See The TubeSpec Packer Pressure-control System for additional information.
One or two probes may show low signal qualities or disabled signals depending on the location of the
coiled tubing weld-seam. For seam location to be constant, the TubeSpec measuring head must be contin-
ually mounted in the same orientation (piston side toward the injector).
