The operator must adjust the application of fluid pressure to the pistons according to the tubing size
currently residing in the unit.
Tubing size must correlate to the model number of the TubeSpec system in use.
See TubeSpec Specifications for additional information.
When the tubing size is smaller, the pistons require a greater application of pressure to achieve an
equal amount of effective force as that which is achieved using larger tubing and a lower application of
piston pressure. (The Minimum (Min) and Maximum (Max) pressures for various tubing sizes are
listed in the table below.)

Packer Pressure-control System
The pressure-control system included in the TubeSpec system requires a hydraulic source producing at
least 3,000 PSI and 3 GPM (or greater).
Allow proper space for the packer pressure-control system in the control cabin. Hose connections from
the source and to the head, which are of necessity custom-length and custom-configured, must either
be provided by the user or ordered from NOV CTES as options.
