Safety guidelines

This instrument has been built and tested acc. to the German safety
regulations for electronic test instruments IEC 1010,and left the
factory in a technically and operationally perfect condition.
In order to maintain this condition and guarantee safe operation the
user must observe the references and warning statements contained
in this manual.
- Before switching on the instrument, check that the mains voltage
selected matches the mains supply volts.
- A correct function and operating reliability of the instrument can
only be observed in climatic conditions as specified in chapter
"Technical data" of this manual.
- If the instrument is brought from a cold to a warm place, an
interference of the instrument function may occur by condensate.
Before putting into operation the instrument, please wait until
the instrument has room temperature.
- Opening of the instrument, adjustment, maintenance or repair
must be carried out by qualified specialists who are aware of the
dangers involved.
- If it is obvious that the instrument no longer conforms to the
safety regulations then it must be put out of operation and
secured against inadvertent use .
