Chapter 4 - Creating Layouts
Layouts are created starting with the Utility option on the Main Menu. This function can be
password restricted.

4.1: File Sub-menu

The "Utility / File" sub-menu is displayed by first moving the cursor until it highlights the "U" in
the "Main" menu. Next, the [ENTER] key is depressed. The Utility menu screen will then
appear. (See Figure 4-1.) Ensuring that the "F" (for File) in the "Utility" menu is highlighted
by the cursor in the second screen, the [ENTER] key is pressed once more. The "Create"
sub-menu screen will then appear.

Create or modify a card layout.
From the Utility / File sub-menu, the user can:
Create an new card layout.
Edit an existing card layout.
Copy an existing card layout, font, image, or firmware file.
Delete an existing card layout.
Download an existing host layout, font, image, Kanji, or firmware.
Upload an existing D-40 printer layout, font, image, Kanji, or firmware.
SelBoot - select a boot file.
Status - display the file system status.
Exit the current menu.
As with all other menus, highlight the desired option with the cursor and depress the [ENTER]
key. The D-40 printer will immediately display the option's sub-menu.
