    Continued from Product Handling Caution Do not use a card contaminated with dirt or flaws. It may cause a breakdown. Do not wipe with benzene, solvents or thinner. It may cause discoloration or deformation of this machine. For heavy contaminents, apply dilute mild detergent to a cloth, wring it thoroughly, then wipe off the contaminents with it, finally wipe with a dry, soft cloth.

    Preparation before Use For installation, please read “Product Installation” in this document in advance. Installation and connection of the main body 1. Place the main body on the installation space. 2. Install the Tipper Foil according to the procedure “Exchanging Tipper Foil” on page 14. 3.

    Card setting Reference • Front Cover of the main body can only be opened by unlocking both the physical cover key and electrical lock. • For unlocking the electrical lock, you need to connect a LAN cable and run application software.

    How to use the machine Setting and Checking the IP Address For issuing the cards, this product requires being connected to a host computer by LAN and USB. To connect to a LAN, you need to set up an IP address. How to check the existing IP address is described as follows.

    Card Issuing 1. Turn the power ON after connecting the power cable and the communication cables. 2. The following message will be indicated on the Main display. TP Warm-up (Warming up is not completed when using Tipper.) Not initialized (Warming up is completed when using Tipper, or not using Tipper.) 3.

    Exchange of Thermal Transfer Ribbon 1. Unlock the Top Cover by turning the key clockwise during the power ON, and then open the Top Cover. Turn this key clockwise. Open Top Cover. The buzzer will beep, and the following error message will be indicated on the Main display. CV402 Top / Side 2.

    Exchanging Indent Film 1. Turn off the power, then turn the Right side door key clockwise to open. If carriage disturbs your access, push it to the right side. Emboss Unit Carriage Unit 2. Release lock by pushing the lock lever with holding the Indent Cassette handle, and remove Indent Cassette upward and forward from the Emboss Unit.

Insert the Guide shaft into the Guide hole of the cassette while grabbing the lock lever and the handle, and install the cassette until it clicks.     Picking up cards from Output Stacker 1. Turn the power ON and unlock the Front cover by application software. Then open the Front cover by turning the key clockwise. Turn this key clockwise. Open Front Cover. When the Front Cover is opened, the buzzer will beep and the following error message will be indicated on the Main display.

    Picking up cards from Reject Stacker 1. Turn the power ON and unlock the Front cover by application software. Then open the Front cover by turning the key clockwise. Turn this key clockwise.     Eco mode 1. This product has the following two different type Eco (Economy Energy) mode. Each mode can be set independently. • Tipper Heater OFF • Motor OFF Eco mode can be set for the heater and motor as follows: No ( Not change to Eco Mode) 10 minutes (When the machine has been kept on standby for 10 minutes or more, it shifts to the Eco mode )

    Error Message When an error such as operation failure or a malfunction of the machine occurs, the buzzer will beep, and an error message will be indicated on the Main display or the Print /Encode Unit display. If the same error occurs repeatedly, please contact your distributor. Error during standby An error code is indicated on the Main display when a sensor is defective while standby or the machine is not ready for starting operation.

    Error and warning during printing or encoding operation If an error or warning is indicated by the application software, and no error or warning is indicated on the Main display, make sure whether it is indicated on the Print /Encode Unit display. To check the Print /Encode Unit display, please open the Top Cover.

    Cleaning Cleaning Thermal Print Head If you find stain or contamination on the issued cards, clean the Thermal Print Head with a Cleaning pen (sold separately). Unlock the Top Cover by turning the key clockwise during the power on, and then open the Top Cover. Turn this key clockwise.

    Washing Cleaning Roller Cleaning roller will remove stain or contamination on cards and will get dirty gradually. If you find stain or contamination on the issued cards, wash the Cleaning roller. We recommend washing the Cleaning roller when replacing the Thermal Transfer Ribbon. Unlock the Top Cover by turning the key clockwise during the power on, and then open the Top Cover.
