6.12.1.2   
Adjustable lateral headrest (not illustrated)
Height adjustment:

Insert the headrest in the guide (see Fig� 28) and then slide it into the holder on the backrest�

To adjust the height, turn the star handle to loosen it, set the headrest to the desired height and retighten the
star handle�
Depth adjustment:
1�
Turn the star handle on the back of the headrest to loosen it, set the headrest to the desired depth and retighten
the star handle�
Angle adjustment:
1�
Loosen the 3 screws on the back of the headrest, set the angle at the desired position and retighten the 3
screws�

Safety belts
WARNING
Incorrect belt settings
User fear, strangulation due to incorrectly positioned safety belts
X The safety belts must be positioned close to the body� They must never be held away from the user's body by
components of the product or other parts�
X Firmly tighten the safety belts after they are applied� However, the comfort of the user must be taken into
consideration:
Æ Excessively tight adjustment may lead to unnecessary pain or suffering for the user�
Æ Adjusting the belt straps too loosely can cause them to shift up or down so that the user can slide into a
position that is dangerous to him/her�
Æ The belt strap must not be twisted on the user's body�
X The shoulder belt must run over the user's shoulder� If this is not possible, the user must not be transported
in this position in a motor vehicle�
WARNING
Use of the belt system as a restraint system in a wheelchair accessible vehicle is forbidden
Falling out of the product, serious injuries due to improper handling of the product
X Under no circumstances may the belt system be used as part of a restraint system when transporting the
user in a wheelchair accessible vehicle�
X Note that the belt system is only intended as additional stabilization for the person sitting in the product�
WARNING
Incorrect application of the belt system/positioning aid
Strangulation, suffocation due to incorrectly positioned safety belts/positioning aids
X Follow the instructions for proper application so that the user cannot slip into a position that would endanger
him or her�
X Note that the user's back must be up against the back pad when securing the belt system/positioning aid
and during use of the product�
X Do not use safety belts or positioning aids if the user is able to sit without them�
The product can be equipped with different types of safety belts�
The option has been installed and preset by qualified personnel� If the option has been adjusted too tightly or cannot
be engaged, the safety belt can be subsequently adjusted�
6.12.2.1   
Pelvic belt
The seat can be equipped with a pelvic belt (see Fig� 32)� It provides additional support for the pelvis and keeps the
user from sliding out of the seat�
Mounting the belt

Open the screws on the rear of the backrest (see Fig� 33) and remove the rotary knob�
