6.12.3.3 Velcro footstraps
The seat can be equipped with Velcro footstraps that secure the child's feet firmly to the footplate for certain indica-
tions (see Fig� 51)�
Mounting the Velcro footstraps
1� Drill holes at the proper positions in the heel area of the footplate�
2� Attach the Velcro footstraps with two rivets or screws positioned beside one another (see Fig� 52)�
In addition, Velcro footstraps can also be used for the forefoot area�
Using the Velcro footstraps
1� Open the Velcro fastener�
2� Place the foot on the footplate�
3� Pull the strap firmly around the shoe and close the Velcro fastener fully�
6.12.3.4 Shoe holders
The seat can be equipped with shoe holders that secure the child's feet firmly to the footplate for certain indications
(see Fig� 53)�
Mounting the shoe holders
1� Drill holes at the proper positions in the footplate�
2� Attach the shoe holders to the footplate with the screws�
Using the shoe holders
1� Open the Velcro fastener�
2� Place the foot on the shoe holder�
3� Pull the straps firmly around the shoe crosswise and close the Velcro fastener fully�
6.12.3.5 Footplate buildup
The seat can be equipped with a footplate buildup, which ensures secure support for the feet in case of a short lower
leg length�
