you
are
servicing
the Laser Measurement
System,
or
performing an Incoming inspection
on
it
,
we
recommend
that
you
refer to the
S528A 's
Service Manual for all the
information you
need,
including connection
information.
SAFETY INFORMATION
WARNING
BEFORE THE INSTRUMENT IS SWITCHED ON, ALL PROTECTIVE
EARTH
TERMINALS.
EXTENSION CORDS.
AUTO-TRANS-
FORMER AND DEVICES CONNECTED TO IT SHOULD BE
CON-
NECTED TO A PROTECTIVE EARTH GROUNDED SOCKET. ANY
INTERRUPTION OF THE PROTECTIVE (GROUNDING)
CON-
DUCTOR (INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE INSTRUMENT) OR DIS-
CONNECTING THE PROTECTIVE EARTH TERMINAL WILL CAUSE
A
POTENTIAL SHOCK HAZARD THAT COULD RESULT IN
PERSONAL INJURY. (GROUNDING ONE CONDUCTOR OF A
TWO-CONDUCTOR OUTLET IS NOT SUFFICIENT
PROTECTION.)
WHENEVER IT IS LIkELY THAT THE PROTECTION HAS BEEN
IMPAIRED, THE INSTRUMENT
MUST
BE MADE INOPERATIVE
AND BE SECURED AGAINST ANY UNINTENDED OPERATION
