Squareness Sign Conventions
When making
a single
Straightness
measu
rement,
you
need not
worry
about
the
sign
convention
used,
o ther than
to
relate positive
values
to one direction of
the machine
tool's
movement.
However,
when
you are
making
a Squareness measu rement.
the
sign
convention is
critical
in
making
sure you have
the
correct sign and
magnitude
of
the
Squarcness
error.
