INTRODUCTION
A
"Sq uareness"
measuremenl
consists of
two
Straightncss measuremen
ts,
perpendicu
lar to each
o
ther,
made
with
a
fixed
Straightness
Re
fl
ector.
This is
typically done by first making
a
horizontal
Suaightness
measurement along
one axis
using
an
Optical
Square,
then removing the Optical
Square, moving the
l aser
Head, and
making
a horizontal Straightncss
measurement
alo ng
the
second
axis. This process is
diagrammed
in
Figure
12-1.
