INTRODUCTION
A
"Squareness" measu
rement
consists
of
two
Strai
ghtness measurements,
perpendicu
lar
to
each
other,
made
with a fixed
Straightness
Refl
ector. This
is typica lly
done by making
a
vertica
l
Straightness
measurement
along a
verti
ca
l
axis,
using
an Optica
l
Square,
a Turn ing Mir
ro r,
and
a
Straightness
Hetroreflector,
then
removing
these
Optics
and
making a vertical
Straightness
measurement
along
a
horizontal
axis.
This
process is
diagrammed
in Figure
13-
7.
