Brush Chipper Preparation for Winching

WARNING: Never operate winch with brush chipper detached from towing vehicle. Load may move brush
chipper or pull tongue off of support blocking.
Step 1: Position brush chipper for best alignment
of winch inlet, feed table, and load.
Repeated side loading will shorten winch
line life.
Set transport vehicle park brake or chock
Step 2:
vehicle wheels to prevent rolling when
pulling a load with the winch.
Open feed table.
Step 3:
Step 4: With engine running, push Retract/
Extend Lever (1) for one second to slacken
winch line.
Pull Winch Engage/Disengage Lever (2)
Step 5:
down to disable feed rollers, enable winch,
and disengage winch clutch.
