To adjust chain length:
a. Remove bolt (4).
b. Slide chain loops through slots (5) to increase or decrease chain
lengths.
c. Install bolt (4) to lock chain loops in place.
Step 3: Route breakaway cable (6) through loop (7) and attach to towing vehicle
bumper or frame.
Step 4: If equipped with optional hydraulic surge brake chain/hook, connect to
towing vehicle.
IMPORTANT: The breakaway cable length should be adjusted so the breakaway
system applies the brakes only after both the hitch and the safety towing chains
have disconnected.
Attach electrical connector (8) to the towing vehicle. Check that highway
