Brake Control 2
• The brake control by managing time is available.
• The 037[BRK] brake release signal for the output
terminal function and the 037[BOK] brake check
signal for the input terminal function are available.
• [AF130] = 03: For the brake control function 2, the
following parameters are valid.

The inverter starts the output and performs the
servo lock for the servo lock time at start.
(If the [AA121] control method is neither 09: zero
speed range sensorless vector control nor 10:
vector control with sensor, the DC braking is
applied.)

After the brake release delay time passes, the
brake release signal 037[BRK] is turned on.

The operation varies depending on whether the
brake check signal 037[BOK] is set to the input
terminal function.
After the servo lock time at start passes, there is
an acceleration.
With If the 037[BOK] is not turned on during the
[BOK] brake check time, the inverter trips with the
setting [E036] brake error outputting the fault signal
038[BER].
Without After the release signal 037[BRK] signal is
[BOK] turned on, there is a waiting for the servo lock
setting
time at start to pass.

• Since the brake control 2 generates the servo lock status
when the brake is on, use 09: zero speed range
sensorless vector control or 10: vector control with sensor
for the [AA121] control method.
• Selecting the control methods other than the above will
replace the operation part of the servo lock with the DC
braking operation.
• For the brake control 2, an error occurs with a trip
in the following cases.
-
When the brake check signal 037[BOK] is used, [BOK] was not
turned on within the brake check waiting time at start-up.
- When the brake check signal 037[BOK] is used, [BOK] was not
turned off within the brake check waiting time at stop.
- When the brake check signal 037[BOK] is used, the brake
release signal 037[BRK] was being output, but [BOK] was
turned off.

Once the operation command is turned off, the
inverter decelerates and perform the servo lock.

The servo lock is kept for the servo lock time at
stop.

After the brake apply delay waiting time passes,
the brake release signal 037[BRK] is turned on.

brake check signal 037[BOK] is set to the input
terminal function.
There is a waiting for the servo lock time to pass.
With The inverter turns off the release signal
[BOK] 037[BOK], and if the 037[BOK] is not turned off
setting during the brake check time, the inverter trips
with the [E036] brake error outputting the fault
signal 038[BER].
Without After the release signal [BRK] signal is turned
[BOK]
off, there is a waiting for the servo lock time at
setting stop to pass.
