This is why in a pressure booster system, long pipelines will cause the pressure to fall
below the required setpoint directly at the consumer installation.
The BoosterControl Advanced control system dynamically adapts the discharge
pressure (at the discharge header) based on the increasing flow rate so that the
required pressure is present at the consumer installation.
Log in to BoosterControl Advanced at service or factory access level.

8.5.11 Setting freely parameterisable inputs
BoosterControl Advanced offers the option of processing remote signals. To this end,
hardware inputs WSD1 to WSD3 (J 401) must be connected properly to the remote
control signalling device.
The control system settings must then be made in accordance with the parameter list
using the service tool. (ð Section 8.5.7, Page 51)
Action
Activates a functional check run
Changeover to an alternative setpoint
Creates a display message
Remote acknowledgement of message
Input for water flow detector
Reduces system output to a defined
value
8.5.12 Setting freely configurable outputs
BoosterControl Advanced offers the option of outputting remote signals. To this end,
hardware outputs P4 to P6 (J 104) of a BoosterControl Advanced for 6 pumps must be
connected to the remote control signalling device accordingly. The control system
settings must then be made in accordance with the parameter list using the service
tool. The number of freely parameterisable outputs is reduced in relation to the
number of pumps. For example, a 5-pump system only has one output (P6)
unassigned (in this example, 5 are reserved for controlling the pumps).
Action
Actuates an additional valve
Activate "Supply level" menu item
BoosterControl Advanced
Possible values
E.g. -9.99 ... 999 bar
0 = deactivates the function
Note
To activate a functional check run via
an external signal, in addition to the
internally programmable functional
check run. The "digital input" must be
previously selected in parameter 3-7-3.
To activate an alternative setpoint via
an external signal, in addition to the
internally programmable setpoint.
Must be set in the control system (inlet
pressure monitoring with pressure
switch)
For bypass control systems with water
flow detector
Only a defined number of pumps are
operated when emergency power is
supplied
Note
If the standard filling routine for a tank
is insufficient for the inlet tank filling
function, up to 2 additional valves can
be (ð Section 8.5.3, Page 46) actuated.
