Chapter 7 Other Functions
Setting the Assign (ASSIGN1–2)
These settings are necessary for controlling video using the bass's
performance data and messages from the VB-99's controllers.
You can make up to two types of settings.
1.
Follow Steps 1–3 in "Making the Palette and
Clip Settings (PALETTE/CLIP)" (p. 91) to
display the V-LINK screen.
2.
Press [F2] (ASGN1) or [F3] (ASGN2) to select
Assign 1 or Assign 2.
3.
Use [F1] (SELECT) or the F1 knob to set the
source to be used in operating the target.
4.
Use [F2] (SELECT) or the F2 knob to set the
target.
For more on the source and target parameters, refer to "V-LINK
PATCH" (p. 153).
5.
Rotate the F3 knob to set the minimum value
for the TARGET parameter's control range.
6.
Rotate the F4 knob to set the maximum value
for the TARGET parameter's control range.
7.
If you want to save the edited settings,
perform the Write procedure (p. 34).
* If you do not want to save, press [EXIT] to return to the Play screen.
