FRONT CARDAN SHAFT

When braking only by one pedal,
cardan brake is not active.

ARTICULATED TRAILERS
Air brakes of trailers (articulated trailers)
control and control of tractor brakes is
done so that braking effect of both vehi-
cles is synchronized.
Working pressure is set by pressure
regulator to 740 ± 20 kPa. When the
pressure drops below 550 - 40 kPa by-
pass valves, puts auxiliary devices out of
operation (differential lock, engagement
of front drive axle).

WARNING SIGNALIZATION OF AIR
PRESSURED DROP
Air pressure drop below 450 kPa is sig-
nalized by alit red control bulb placed on
a dashboard.
Tractor with braked trailer or ar-
ticulated trailer with pressured
drop in air pressure system under
450 kPa must not continue in
transport if there is not increase
in air pressure.
