    Prior to delivery, the tractor was carefully inspected, both at the factory and by your Zetor dealer/distributor, to ensure that it reaches you in optimum conditions. To maintain this condition and ensure trouble free performance. it is important that the routine services, as specified in this manual, are carried out at the recommended intervals.

    A single-disc dry clutch (diameter 11.81') is used on these tractors. The tractor with IPTO (independent rear Power Take-Off) is equipped with a hydraulic clutch assembly. The HORTUS HS65 transmission gear box has 24 forward and 24 reverse speeds in two high / low groups. At present, Zetor tractors are equipped with synchro mesh type gears.

    The objective of the frame or cab structure is to protect the operator in the event of a roll over and they are designed to support the entire weight of the tractor in that event. Each Zetor ROPS frame or cab structure is designed and has been tested to meet industry and or government standards.

Any damage or alternation to the ROPS, mounting hardware, or seat belt voids the certification and will reduce or eliminate protection for the operator in the event of a roll- over.

The gas released from the battery during charging may be explosive. Never attempt to check the battery charge by connecting its poles with a conductive object.

Serious injury could occur if any of these items of clothing were caught by the rotating part. Do not wear rings or other jewelry to prevent electrical shorts or avoid getting caught in moving parts.

Before operating the tractor, read the following measures and observe them to avoid accidents. The tractor may only be operated by authorized persons who are properly trained for this operation.

    DESCRIPTION OF TRACTOR CONTROLS HODP048 Warning Lights Charge Indicator Light The indicator light goes off as soon as the engine is running and the alternator starts charging. (Note that a broken V-belt may cause the control indicator to come on, in such case stop the engine as overheating might occur if the defect is not rectified immediately.) Oil Pressure Indicator Light The light comes on when engine oil lubrication problems occur.

    OPERATION Driving the Tractor Warming Up When starting the engine allow it to warm up to operating temperature by allowing it to idle 5-10 minutes to ensure full lubrication and operating temperature. Failure to do so can shorten engine life substantially. Warming Up in Cold Weather Cold weather changes the viscosity of the oil, resulting in a reduction in the performance of the engine oil pump, which can cause engine damage if not heated properly.

    OPERATION Tight Turns in the Field Disconnect the latch connecting left and right brake pedals to allow the use of individual pedals. To make a tight turn use both the steering wheel and the brake pedal at the same time. For a left turns use the left pedal and a right turn the right pedal.

    OPERATION Uphill Starts on a Steep Slope With the pedals connected together push down on the brake pedals and push down the clutch. Set all gear levers to low and the throttle to medium engine speed. Release the clutch and as it engages release the brake pedals.

    OPERATION Check During Driving Constantly monitor the warning lights on the dash and if any comes on stop the tractor to determine the cause. Oil Pressure Light If the oil pressure indicator light comes on, check the oil level first. If the oil level is correct, ask your dealer / authorized service center to remove the cause of the defect.

    OPERATION Connecting and Disconnecting Implement Connection 1. Do not forget to stop the engine before connecting the implement. 2. Depressurize the external hydraulic circuit by repeatedly moving the control lever to the end positions. Otherwise the couplers may be difficult to connect or the oil may expand from the hoses when connecting. 3.
