4.8 Interfaces
Possible uses for a memory card
The memory card can be used as a parameter memory in the following manner:
● Uploading a parameter set to the frequency converter.
● Transferring parameters from a memory card when exchanging the converter.
● Automatic download of a parameter set to the frequency converter on power-up.
● Updating Firmware
Inserting the memory card
The converter must be switchted off and disassembled, before a
memory card can be inserted into the memory card reader.
The label must be facing down with the chamfered edge of the
memory card point to the left.
The memory card must be pushed into the card reader slot as far
as it will go; it will make a small click when it is correctly inserted.
Pressing the card again will release it from the memory card read-
er slot.

Mini USB interface

Description
The mini USB connector is located at the top-centre of the ET 200pro FC-2 outer casing.
The connector is designed to enable the ET 200pro FC-2 to be connected directly to the
USB port of a PC.
The following components are required to use the Mini USB connection:
● A standard Mini USB to standard USB connection cable.
● A PC with the one of the following operating systems installed:
– Windows XP
– Windows 7
● The commissioning application STARTER installed on the PC.
The mini USB connector is protected by a plastic screw plug, which
when tightened preserves the system's IP67 rating.
Above the mini USB connection there must be a minimum clearance
distance of 50 mm. Otherwise the screw plug cannot be removed.
